RUTH DAWSON
1910-2007
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 11 a.m. at
the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Ruth Dawson, 96, of
Dayton, Ohio, who passed away Sunday, March 4 2007 at
Hospice of Dayton in Dayton.
Mrs. Dawson was born Dec. 8, 1910 in Grundy, Va., daughter
of the late Doranto and Julina Pelphrey Dawson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ocal Dawson.
She was a member of the Van Lear Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Elmer Dawson of Colorado and Bill
Dawson of Danville, Ky.; one daughter, Geneva Trimble of
Dayton, Ohio; and five grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Lowell Pelphrey and
Michael Trimble, with burial following in the Johnson County
Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
