GENEVA DELONG
1916-1998
Van Lear resident Geneva Delong, 82, died Monday,
August 24, 1998 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. DeLong was born August 11, 1916 Johnson County, to
the late Bailey and Margaret Wells Collins.
She was a merchant
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Delong.
Surviving are two sons, Lark Kenneth and Gerald Lloyd Delong,
both of Van Lear; two daughters, Diana Marlene Burchell of
Van Lear and Doris Ann Music of Marion, Indiana two brothers,
Homer Collins Van Lear and Howard Collins Ohio; 10 grand
children and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, August 26,
11 a.m. at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with
Keith Cozort officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery
at Staffordsville.
