BARNETTS CREEK RESIDENT DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

William Henry Dye, 49, died September 23 at his home at Barnetts
Creek following an illness of three years. Death was attributed to
cancer.

Born January 15, 1902 at Fugett, KY., he was the son of Floyd and
Susan Van Hoose Dye.

He had been a resident of Barnetts Creek for twenty years.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday at the home with
the Revs. John Pelphrey and Lonza Reed officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Runa Dye, three sons, Henry Dye, Homer
and Elize Floyd Dye, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. Verna Blevins,
Volga, KY., Mrs. Maxie Johnson, Staffordsville, KY., Mrs. Mary Lou
Hyden, McGuffie, Ohio, and Alice Marie Dye, at home; and the
following brothers and sisters, Elbert Dye, Fairborn, Ohio, John
Douglas Dye, McGuffin, Ohio, Mrs. Roy Stumbo, Sitka, KY., Mrs. Leota
Bowling, Van Lear, KY.; Mrs. Elizabeth F. Hall, Volga, KY., and
Doshie Dye, Barnetts Creek.

Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
