Isadore Fitch, 90, retired miner of Thealka, died in a local hospital at
4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, after an illness of two days.
 
The son of the late Bird and Mary Fraley Fitch, he was born in Lawrence
County, August 18, 1871, and had lived at Thealka most of his life. He was a
member of the Freewill Baptist church.
 
His wife, Fanny C. Fitch, preceded him in death, June 13, 1960.
 
Surviving are five sons, Tom and Sam Fitch, Thealka; Burton and Jesse Fitch,
city; Norman Fitch, Ypsilanti, MI; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ward and Miss
Kathie Fitch, city; Mrs. Ruby Wells, Tutor Key; Mrs. Sebra Caudill, Ashland;
a brother, Tug Fitch, Thealka, Mrs. Bertha Cook, Ashland.
 
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 8 great-
great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Thealka
Freewill Baptist Church with James Lyons and Don Fraley as officiating
ministers.
 
Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
