OTTO GREENE
Stambaugh resident Otto Greene, 82, died January 18 1984 in J.J. Jordan Nursing Home in Louisa after an extended illness.
Mr. Greene was born March 30 1901, in Johnson County, the son of Enoch and Lida Margaret Salyer Greene.
He was a retired miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
His wife, Flora Short Greene, preceded him in death in 1962.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Margaret Witten, Springfield, Ohio; and Mable Jewell Johnson, Arvada, Col.; four brothers, Johnnie Greene, Stambaugh; Bill Greene, Arizona; Roman Greene, Wisconsin; and Elmer Greene, Ohio; six sisters, Nola Stambaugh, Stambaugh; Alice Branham, Sitka; Frona Spencer and Laura Daniels, Louisa; Ludia Davis Mechanicsburg, Ohio; and Mima Gambill, Ashland; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 21 in Sitka Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. C.C. Hall and Freddie Burchett officiating
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under the direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
