MADGE GRIMM
1909-1950
 
Madge Jeane Grimm, 41, died Wednesday May 17, 1950 at 4:45 a.m., at
her home, after an illness of several months.
 
She was born in, Johnson County on December 24, 1909, the daughter of
Georgeann Williams Grimm and the late J. L. Grimm.
   
She had been a resident of Paintsville for two years.
 
Her church affiliation was with the Freewill Baptist Church at Nippa,
Ky. She was at one time a civil service employee in Washington D.C.
 
Besides her mother, she is survived by six brothers and two sisters,
Zelphia Grimm, city, and Mrs. Bessie Picklesimer, Middletown, Ohio;
Glenroe, Indianapolis, Ind., Milt, Nippa, Ky., Bennie, city, Ed,
Switzer, W. Va., Thurmon, Lexington, Ky., Walter, Tutor Key.
 
Funeral services will be held at the Freewill Baptist Church at the
Mouth of Rush on Friday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m., by Revs. Claude
Preston, F. S. VanHoose and Abe Music. Hymns will be sung by the
Paintsville Quartet.
 
Burial will be made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.

Madge Grimm was born at Nippa, Ky., December 24, 1909, died Wednesday
morning, May 17, 1950, at 5:00 a.m. being 40 years, 4 months, and 23
days old.
 
Early in life she was converted and became a member of the Freewill
Baptist Church at the Mouth of Rush and remained a member of this
church ever since.
 
Her living motto has been encouched in the following words: "Only one
life, 'twill soon be passed, Only what's done for Christ will Last,
To me 'to live' is Christ."
 
Madge had been in failing health for the past five years, patiently
enduring her affliction, only awaiting for the time Christ would call
her home.
 
She was the daughter of Mrs. Georgeann Grimm and the late J. L.
Grimm. Survivors include besides her mother, two sisters, Zelphia
Grimm, Paintsville, Mrs. Estill Picklesimer, Middletown, Ohio and six
brothers B. H. Grimm, Nippa, Milt, Nippa, Walter, Tutor Key, Thurman,
Veterans' Hospital, Lexington, Edgar, Maco, W. Va., Glenroe,
Indianapolis, Ind., one brother- in-law, Estill Picklesimer,
Middletown, O., and a host of relatives and friends.
 
Madge will be missed by all
