SOPHIA HITCHCOCK
1918-1998
Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for
Sophia Hitchcock, 80, who died Thursday, November 19, 1998
at her Staffordsville residence.
Mrs. Hitchcock was born in February 1918, to the late Ott
and Josie Taylor.
She was retired from American Standard.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hitchcock.
Surviving are one son, Bobby Hitchcock of Staffordsville;
one daughter, Judy Frazier of Staffordsville; one brother,
Benny Taylor of Ashland; two sisters, Opal Auxier of Ashland
and Josephine Mink of Virginia; and seven grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21, at Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Larry Blair officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery
at Staffordsville.
