BETTY JEAN HOLBROOK
1932-1959
Mrs. Betty Jean Holbrook, 27, wife of Guy Holbrook of Thelma, died
in the Ashland T.B. Sanitarium, Tuesday, July 21, 1959, at 7:30
p.m., following an illness of nine years.
The daughter of Sylba Perry Ratliff of Richardson and the late
Walter Ratliff, she was born in this city February 18, 1932. She
was a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving besides her mother and husband are a daughter, Kathy
Lee, at home; one brother, William Ratliff, Richardson; two
sisters, Pauline Perry, Richardson; Margaret Booth, River.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m., from the
Thelma Schoolhouse with Elzie Banks and Nim Sturgill as
officiating ministers.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
