GUY HOLBROOK 1926-1960 Guy Holbrook, 34, resident of this city, died at 9:40 a.m., August 13, 1960, at the home of his father, Dewey Holbrook, in this city. He had been ill for the past nine months. The son of Dewey and Elsie Blanton Holbrook, he was born at Thelma, January 12, 1926. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. His wife, Betty Ratliff Holbrook, preceded him in death July 21, 1959. Surviving besides his parents are a daughter, Cathylee Holbrook of this city; three brothers, Paul Holbrook, Columbus, Ohio; Harry Holbrook, Marion, Ohio; Jack Holbrook, Plymouth, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Katz, and Mrs. Beulah Grandenetti, both of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Sue Patton of this city. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday from the Buffalo United Baptist Church with Elzie Banks, Everett Crum and Nim Sturgill as officiating ministers.
