SARAH E. HOLBROOK
1884-1975
  
Sarah E. Holbrook died Monday, June 16, 1975, at a local nursing
home at the age of 95.
  
She was born August 16, 1884 in Morgan County, the daughter of the
late Riley and Julia Keaton Rowland.  She was preceded in death by
her husband, Harry Holbrook in 1959.
  
Surviving are three sons, Walter Holbrook and Dewey Holbrook, both
of Thelma, and Denzil Holbrook of Wheelwright; two daughters, Verna
Blanton of Oil Springs and Mrs. Bill Barker of Betsy Layne; 27
grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held at the New Concord United Baptist Church
at Thelma.
  
The officiating ministers were Nim Sturgill and Glenn Arrowood.
  
Burial was at the family cemetery at Thelma under the arrangement
and direction of The Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
