WILLIE HONEYCUTT
1915-1962

Willie Honeycutt, 47, resident of West Van Lear, died in a local
hospital at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 9, after an illness of seven
days.

The son of Johnny and Christine Webb Honeycutt, he was born at Odds
May 7, 1915, and had lived at West Van Lear for 27 years. He was a
miner employed by the Princess Elkhorn Coal Company at David.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella Pack Honeycutt, whom he
married in this city, August 8, 1940; a son, William Bryant
Honeycutt, Dayton, OH; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Ann Castle, Bainbridge,
MD; four brothers, Malcom and George Honeycutt, West Van Lear;
Melvin, Pablo, CA; Elliott, Wabash, IN; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret
Burchett, Jackson, MI; Mrs. Edith cooper, New Boston, OH; Mrs. Sophia
Fitzpatrick, Hager Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the West
Van Lear Baptist Church with Charlie Lemaster as officiating
minister.

Pallbearers were Floyd Collins, Geter Picklesimer, Monroe Wallen,
Thurman Whitaker, Odis Webb, Fonnie Castle and Bill Whitaker.

Burial will be in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.
