ARTHUR PRESTON LUCIUS
SUCCUMBS WEDNESDAY IN MEMPHIS HOSPITAL
Arthur Preston Lucius, four year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lucius of Memphis, Tn., died Wednesday, June 13, 1956 at a hospital in that city.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H.H. Newsome, pastor of St. Matthews Methodist Church, in Memphis.
Burial was made in the Preston Cemetery in Paintsville Saturday under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
The Rev. H.C. Holland, pastor of the Johnson County Parish read the committal service at the gravesite.
Pallbearers were Dr. Charles L. Preston, uncle of the deceased; Dr. Howard Meade, Mr. James E. Ward of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mr. Robelle Williams of Memphis. Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral were, Mrs. Hopkins Preston, grandmother of the child, the Rev. and Mrs. James Lucius, Miss Jeanette Clemmons, Mr. and Mrs. Robelle Williams and daughter all of Memphis; Miss Stella Ward of Jackson, Tn; Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Ward and Mr. James E. Ward of Portsmouth, Oh; Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Lockwood and Dr. and Mrs. George R. Preston, of Catlettsburg.
