HERMAN MEEK
Herman Meek, 52, former resident of Lancaster, Ohio, died Monday, February 25, at the home of his brother, Thurman Meek, after an extended illness.
The son of Davis Meek of Marion, Ohio, and the late Maude Seagraves Meek, he was born at Whitehouse, November 11, 1910. He was a painter by occupation.
Other survivors include a son, Jerry Gordon Meek, of this city; two other brothers, Earl Meek, Ashland; Roma Meek, Las Vegas Nevada; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Gambill, Lancaster, Ohio. Mrs. Hazel Ward, Colorado Springs, Co., Mrs. Deloris Sparks, Marion, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, in the Chapel of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Hart as officiating minister.
Pallbearers were Johnie Castle, Earl Meek, Jr. W>R> Meade, Jr. Carl Thomas Sparks., Cecil Daniel and Dock Nichols.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
