Paintsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Clara
Pennington, 90, who died Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at Hospice of
Dayton, Dayton, Ohio.
Mrs. Pennington was born February 25, 1910, at Falcon, to the
late Edward and Mary Salyers Blanton. She was a member of the
Little Paint United Baptist Church. She was also preceded in
death by her husband, Arthur Pennington; one son, Raymond Blair;
and one stepson, Paul Pennington.
Surviving are three daughters, Lillian Faye Lockmiller of
Dayton, Ohio, Vivian Shultz of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Janet
Stapleton of Huber Heights, Ohio; four stepdaughters, Billie
Howard of Covington, Ohio, Betty Lemaster of Columbus, Ohio,
Sue Conley of Springfield, Ohio, and Mary Tackett of Xenia,
Ohio; five stepsons, Jack, Keith and Douglas Pennington, all
of Oil Springs, and Joe and Tommy Pennington, both of Oil
Springs; two sisters, Esta Blair of Flatwoods and Pearl Ginter
of Kissimmee, Florida; and 33 grandchildren, 46
great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 11 a.m. at
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Elders J.D. Rice and Joe
Carroll officiating.
