MESCAL PENNINGTON
1921-1995
Retired cook Mescal Brown Pennington, 74, died Monday, July 7 1995,
at Villa of Springfield, Spingfield Ohio.
Mrs.Pennington was born April 21 1921 in Morgan County, the daughter
of the late Roscoe and Oma Wright Brown. She was retired from Flat
Gap Elementary and a member of the Peaceful Valley Church.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Roscoe Pennington, on
February 15, 1988; one brother; one daughter; and a grandson.
Surviving are four sons, Elwood Pennington of Staffordsville, Wayne
and James Pennington, both of Flat Gap, and David Pennington of
Daniels Creek; four daughters, Carol Parker of Springfield,
Dixie Martin of Oil Springs and Dollie Wright and Phyllis Saylor,
both of Flat Gap, and 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren,
seven step-grand-children and four step-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday July 20, at Jones Funeral Home
Chapel, with Kenneth Wight and Eual McKenzie officiating.
Burial was in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at
Staffordsville.
