ROSCOE PENNINGTON

Roscoe Pennington, 66, died Monday, February 15, 1988 in Community
Hospital, Sprindfield, Ohio.
Mr. Pennington was born June 2 1921 in Morgan County Ky., the son
of Walker and Marvie Young Pennington.
Surviving are his wife Mecal Brown Pennington; four sons, Elwood
Pennington, of Staffordsville, Wayne Pennington, of Prestonsburg,
David Pennington of Van Lear, and James Roscoe Pennington of Flat
Gap; four daughters, Carol Parker, of Springfield, Ohio, Dixie
Martin, of Volga, and Dollie Wright,and Phyllis Saylor, both
of Flat Gap; six brothers, Ren Pennington, of Red Bush, Dee
Pennington, Jim Pennington, Frank Pennington, George Pennington,
and Ray Pennington, all of Flat Gap; two sisters, Sylvia Patrick,
of Flat Gap, and Susie Fyffe, of Baltimore, Maryland; and 15
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 18, in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Eual McKenzie and
John Fred Ramey officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery in
Staffordsville.
