HOWARD P. PRESTON
1910-1966

Howard P. Preston, 56, of Ashland, was dead on arrival at an
Ashland hospital at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 after suffering an
apparent heart attack at his home.

Born April 25, 1910, he was a son of the late Daniel and Molly May
Preston and had resided in Ashland for the past twenty two years.
He was an operator at the Ashland Oil and Refining Co's No. 2
plant.

Mr. Preston was a member of the First Methodist Church and Ashland
Lodge No. 350 B.P.O. Elks.

Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Mabel Caudill Preston; four sisters,
Mrs. Herbert Wheeler and Mrs. Carson D. Davis of Ashland; Mrs. E.
F. Harrison and Mrs. Henrietta Preston of Pikeville; one brother,
Paul Preston of Shreveport, La. Mr. Preston was a brother-in-law
of Mrs. Lucy Wells of Paintsville and the son-in-law of Mrs. Rose
E. Caudill of Van Lear.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, at
the Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, by the Rev. Kenneth Holbrook.

Burial with graveside rights, was in the Preston Cemetery at
Paintsville.

Paulbearers were, James Pickrell, Bill Delaney, Jack Fossom,
Woodford Henry, Dick Sweet and Proctor Haller.

Honorary pallbearers were the operators of Ashland Oil and
Refining Co.
