JOSEPHINE PRESTON

Funeral services were held on June 15 for Josephine Ward Preston,
79, who died two days earlier in a Memphis, Tenn., hospital. J.
H. Burton officiated the rites, which took place in the chapel of
the Preston Funeral Home.
Burial was in the Preston Cemetery at Paintsville, with the
Preston Funeral Home in charge.
The former Oil Springs resident was born to Zolliecoffer and
Margret Litz Ward and married to the late Hopkins Preston. She
lived in Memphis for the past 18 years.
Survivors include a son from Lexington, Dr. Charles Lee Preston; a
daughter, Mrs. Anna Louise Lucius of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister,
Miss Stella Ward of Jackswon, Tenn., and three grandchildren.
