DOLLIE G. SALYER

Dollie G. Salyer, 85, of Westwood, died Saturday, Feb. 3,
2007 at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland.
Born Aug. 20, 1921, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of
the late Oscar and Leander Williams McCarty. She was a
member of Little Paint United Baptist Church and a former
seamstress with Stars, Dons Men's Shop, Tots and Teens, and
Delmars Dress Shop.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sanford H.
"Sanky" Salyer; four brothers, Clyde McCarty, Woodrow
McCarty, Ollie McCarty, and Joe McCarty; and two sisters,
Esther Reynolds and Jessie LeMaster.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Trimble of
Westwood, and Loyola "Loy" Baker of Flatwoods; four
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-
great- grandchild.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 5, at Preston Family
Funeral Home, Ashland, with Bros. Phillip Caudill, Justin
Boyd, and Philip Stevens officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Gardens under
direction of Preston Family Funeral Home.
