HERSHELL SALYERS
1921-1993
Staffordsville resident, Hershell Salyers, 72, died
Wednesday, December 8 1993 at
Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Mr. Salyers was born November 30 1921 in Johnson County,
the son of the late Lon and Vida O'Brian Salyers.
He was retired from General Motors and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Rice Salyers; two sons,
James Salyers of Staffordsville and Hershell Salyers Jr.,
of Beaver Creek, Ohio; one daughter,
Ruth Annetta McWilliams of Las Vegas Nevada;
one stepbrother, Solomon Stambaugh of
Ypsilanti, Michigan; one half-sister,
Alice Webb of Bellevue, Michigan;
and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 11 at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Donald Caudill
and John R. Pelphrey officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at
Staffordsville.
