GEORGIA A SLONE
Oil Springs resident Georgia A. Slone, 64, died
Wednesday, August 9, 1995, at her residence.
Mrs. Slone was born October 13, 1930, in Johnson County,
the daughter of Esta Cantrell Pennington and the late
George Pennington.
She was a cook at Food Lyon and member of the Pigeon
Enterprise Baptist Church.
Surviving are her mother; her husband, Donald Slone of
Oil Springs; one son, Ronald Slone of Oil Springs; four
daughters, Sandra Kay Baldwin of Barnett's Creek,
Patricia Carnita Estep of Louisa, Pamela Ray Collier of
Jackson and Jeanetta Gay Blanton of West Liberty; two
brothers, Jess and Gary Pennington, both of Flat Gap; two
sisters, Oma Valentine of Troy, Ohio, and Eula Mae
Gunnerman of Piqua, Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 12, 1995, at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Roger Hill
and Johnnie Estep officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at
Staffordsville.
