SAMANTHA SPEARS
1900-1968
Samantha Spears died Monday, December 2 at the age of 84 years. She was
united in marriage to William Spears on December 4, 1900.
Mr. Spears preceded her in death on January 15, 1950.
Survivors include three sons, Russell Spears of Lowmansville, Mitchell and
Ray Spears of Columbus, OH, three daughters, Mrs. Ada Jude of Paintsville,
Mrs. Flora Patrick of Greentown, and Mrs. Beulah Howell of Sandy Hook. Also
surviving are nineteen grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, one broterh,
Guy Castle of Martin; and three sisters, Mrs. Cyntha Salyers of Louisa, Mrs.
Hazel Barber of Martin and Mrs. Paul Twinkle of Tennessee.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 5 in the Thealka
Freewill Baptist Church with Don Fraley the officiating minister.
Burial was held in the Thealka Schoolhouse Cemetery. The Jones and Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
