TETANUS FATAL TO STAFFORDSVILLE YOUTH
  
Funeral services were held at Old Union Church at Staffordsville
on March 8 (1945) for Wayne Tackett, Jr., 22 years, 8 months,
eight days old, who died in a local hospital from tetanus on March
4.
  
Wayne had been operated on at Huntington, West Va., in October,
1944 for a bone infection and his death was from complications
from the operation.
  
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Statton Tackett, and a
daughter, Donna Sue, who was only eighteen days old at the time of
her father's passing.  Also his parents, Wayne, Sr. and Donna
Pelphrey Tackett and two brothers, Jimmy Roger and Ben Dahlman.
  
Funeral services were held by Revs. Riggsby, O'Bryan and Reed.
  
He was buried in the Tackett Family Cemetery, arrangements under
the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
