SERVICES SUNDAY FOR SITKA WOMAN
MRS. ROSE ANN TURNER DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS
Mrs. Rose Ann Turner, 80, of Sitka died in a local hospital Friday
following a brief illness.
Born December 1, 1876 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of W.M.
and Nancy Jane Wilcox Boyd.
Mrs. Turner was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Turner, one son, Carl Turner,
Ashland, six daughters, Mrs. Ruby WIlliams, Flatwoods, Ky., Mrs.
Mollie Daniel, Lowmansville, Mrs. Freda Stapleton, Lexington, Mrs.
Pearl Persinger, Mrs. Zona Branham, and Mrs. Lyda CAstle, all of
Sitka, one brother, David Boyd, Ashland, and three sisters, Mrs.
Victoria Waugh, Ashland, Mrs. Virginia Waugh, Westwood, Ky., and Mrs.
Tishia Van Hoose, Wittensville.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the home with the Rev.
S. B. Honeycutt officiating. Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet.
Burial was made in the family cemetery.
