OLLIE WARD
1893-1958
Mrs. Ollie Ward 65, wife of Martin Ward of Williamsport, died
in a local Hospital at 2:00 am, Saturday, November 23 1958.
Cause of death was cancer.
The daughter of Ben and Sarah O'Brian Salyers, she was born
October 7, 1893 at Barnetts Creek.
She had lived in Williamsport for the last fourteen years
where she was a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are four children from a
previous marriage. Two sons, Frank Clark, Marysville Ohio,
Millard Clark, Ironton, Ohio, and two daughters, Mrs. Grace
Adams, Urbana Ohio; Mrs. Arizona Blevins, Barnetts Creek. Also
surviving are two brothers, Lonnie Salyers, Van Lear and Fonzo
Salyers, Barnetts Creek. One sister Etta Stapleton,
Catlettsburg.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Dec. 1 at 10:30
a.m. from the Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church with Elzie
Banks and Lonza Reed as officiating ministers.
Burial was in the Salyer Cemetery at Barnetts Creek.
