Ruth Ann Newsome Williams, 57, of Paintsville, died
Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at her residence.
  
Born April 22, 1951, in Floyd County, she was a daughter of Lula
Reynolds Newsome and the late Ralph Newsome. She was a
nurse/bookkeeper and member of First Baptist Church.
  
Additional survivors include her husband, James Williams of
Paintsville; a son, James Edward Williams II of Tutor Key; a
brother, Ralph Newsome Jr. of McDowell; seven sisters, Dotty Lyn
Spradlin of Denver, Alicetene Ward of McDowell, Jean Grim and
Christine Simpson, both of Prestonsburg, Vada Sue Savage of
Southland, and Brenda Kay Henson and Barbara Tuttle, both of Auxier;
and a grandchild.
  
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at First Baptist
Church, Paintsville, with Wayne Price and Donnie Patrick
officiating. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery,
Staffordsville, under direction of Preston Funeral Home.
  
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the
funeral home and one hour prior to funeral Thursday, Feb. 28, at the
church.
