DOROTHY PELPHREY-ARMS-NELSON

Mrs. Dorothy Arms Nelson, 69, died Tuesday, March 20, in Highlands
Regional Medical Center after an illness of several weeks.
Born September 9, 1909, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of
John S. and Rose Pelphrey.
She was a resident of Prestonsburg, a member of the Church of Christ
and was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Curtis Arms on Jan. 23, 1953
and George Nelson.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Margaret Stamper of Flatwoods, Poly Rose
Conley of Oil Springs and Helen Rice of Sitka; 2 brothers, Sherman
Pelphrey of Copperston, WV, and Charles Pelphrey of Nicholasville; 3
sisters, Jennie Conley of Mechanicsburg, OH, Florence Espy of Dayton,
OH and Manda Spradlin of West Van Lear; 8 grandchildren 5 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, in Paintsville Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. C. C. Hall officiating.
Burial was in Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.
