Irene Mullins Bailey, 68, of Salyersville, died Wednesday Jul.26 2000
in University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Mrs. Bailey was born March 9, 1931, in Magoffin County, a daughter of
the late Jim and Eva Whitaker Mullins. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Bailey.
Surviving are her husband, Ellis Bailey; four sons, Jimmy Bailey of
South Point, Ohio, Marvin Bailey and Charles Bailey, both of
Salyersville and Ralph Bailey of Hazel Green; two daughters, Patty
Carter of Shelbyville and Sharon Green of Salyersville; three
brothers, Paul B. Mullins of Gauge, Roscoe Mullins of Salyersville
and Raymond Mullins of Albion, Mich.; five sisters, Judy Ray of
Means, Bessie Bailey and Ethel Mae Cole, both of Salyersville, and
Virgie Trusty and Tressie Hampton, both of Albion; 12 grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dunn-Kelley/Prater &
Dunn Funeral Home in Salyersville by Ronald Puckett and Timothy
Watkins.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
