MILLARD BARKER
1900-1979
  
Millard Barker, 79, died Thursday, Aug 16, in a Lexington hospital
after an extended illness.
  
Mr. Barker was born April 21, 1900, in Johnson County, son of the late
Willie and Missouri Osborne Barker.
  
He was a resident of Oil Springs, a farmer and a member of the Freewill
Baptist Church.
  
Surviving are his wife, Edith Owens Barker, three daughters, Marie
Back, Bentonville, OH, Ival Conley, Springfield, OH, and Faye Baldwin,
Oil Springs; a brother Johnny Barker, Lowmansville; four sisters, Mrs.
Reilda Tackett, Paintsville, Mrs. Lexie Rose, Urbana, OH Mrs. Lura
Estepp, Miamisburg, OH, and Mrs. Clara Green, Lowmansville; 12
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug 19 in Pigeon Freewill Baptist
Church, Oil Springs, with Rev. Charles Stapleton and Dick VanHoose
officiating.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery, Oil Springs, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
