OLLIE BELCHER
1889-1977
Mrs. Ollie Belcher, 88, died Sunday, February 13, in the Highland
Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
She was born March 11, 1889, in Johnson County, the daughter of Lafe
and Alice Banks Hyden. Mrs. Belcher was a resident of West Van Lear
and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. N. Belcher.
Surviving are four sons, Bill Belcher of West Van Lear; Lonnie
Belcher of Indiana, Thomas Belcher of Fort Gay, WV, and Harry Belcher
of West Germany; a daughter, Susie Baldridge of East Point; five
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 15, in the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John G. Sammons officiating.
Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
