LIZZIE BLAIR
1896-1964

Mrs. Lizzie Blair, 67, died suddenly at her home at West Van
Lear at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 16.

A daughter of the late Milt and Celia Rice Hitchcock, she was born
in Johnson County September 18, 1896.

She had made her home at West Van Lear for the past several years
and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Her husband, Alonzo Blair, preceded her in death July 31, 1955.
Survivors include three step-sons, James Blair, Holden, W. Va.;
Rudolph Blair, Springfield, Ohio; Don Blair, Baltimore, Maryland,
A stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucy Combs, West Van Lear; a brother, Walter
Hitchcock, Ashland, Mrs. Ed Fairchilds, Staffordsville.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday in the
chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with John G. Sammons as
officiating minister.

Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.
