Betty Jean Burke, 75, of Paintsville, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at
Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Floyd Co, Ky.
Born June 29, 1932, in Stockbridge, Mich., she was a daughter of the
late Arthur and Minnie Lewis Salyer.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Burke, in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Allen Burke of Williamson, S.C.;
two daughters, Paulette Spradlin of Ivel and Robinette Caird of
Paintsville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 7, at Preston Funeral Chapel,
with Chuck Ferguson officiating.
Burial was in Cumbo Cemetery, West Van Lear, under direction of
Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
