HARRISON BURKE

Funeral services were held at the West Van Lear Missionary
Baptist Church for Harrison Burke, 64, who died at his home at
West Van Lear Tuesday, following a heart attack.

Rev. C.H. Hockinsmith was in charge of services.

The son of the late George Lurinda Bennett Burke, he was 
born January 17, 1889 in Morgan County.

He had been a resident of West Van Lear for the past ten years.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Arms Burke, three sons; Marvin
and Harold Burke both of West Van Lear; Elmo Burke, Maysville,
three daughters; Mrs. Oliver Shields and Miss Mable Burke
both of Richmond, Kentucky; Mrs. Everett Bowling, Van Lear,
one step-daughter, Mrs. Homer Hale, East Point.

Other survivors include four sisters; Mrs. Lucy Stamper,
Portsmouth, Ohio; Mrs. Mimi Salyer,
Mrs. Leona Wright, and Eva Burke, all of West Van Lear.

Internment was made in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear
under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
