NORA BUTCHER
1917-2000
Nora Webb Butcher, 82, of Van Lear, died Friday Oct.13 2000 in
Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Butcher was born Dec. 31, 1917, in Johnson County, a daughter
of the late Alex and Mandy Butcher Webb.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ashley Butcher, and
a daughter, Jewell Sue Butcher.
Surviving are eight sons, Harold Butcher, Chester Butcher, Gene
Butcher, Randall Butcher, Darrell Butcher, Foley Butcher, Sheldon
Butcher and Charles Butcher, all of Van Lear; three daughters,
Lorene Hall of Wabash, Ind., Marie Herrera of Van Lear and Norina
Hackworth of Prestonsburg; 29 grandchildren; and 27 great-
grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
in Paintsville by David Mollette.
Burial will be in Butcher Cemetery in Van Lear.
Friends may call today and until time of service Sunday at the
funeral home.
