MOLLIE CONLEY Van Lear Woman Dies Tuesday After Long Illness Services To Be Friday For Mrs. Green Conley Mrs. Mollie Burke Conley, 69, wife of Green Conley of Van Lear, died in a local hospital Tuesday following an illness of a year. Born January 8, 1885 the daughter of the late Calvin and Martha Music Burke, she had been a resident of Van Lear for 38 years. She was a member of the West Van Lear Church of Christ. She was married December 24, 1903 to Green Conley who survives. Also surviving are six sons, Stewart, Guy and Scott all of Van Lear, Charles, Bearl and Henry all of Ashland; three daughters, Miss Sophia Conley, Mrs. Jack Stratton and Mrs. Mary Jasper all of Van Lear. Other survivors include two brothers, Henry Burke, East Point, Everett Burke, Allen; two sisters, Mrs. Oma Greer, East Point, and Mrs. Sophia Fairchilds, city; four half-brothers, Howard Burke, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Arch Burke, Carrollton, KY., Green Burke, Ragland, W. Va., John Burke, city; two half-sisters, Miss Ruth Burke, West Van Lear, and Mrs. Sarah Williams, city. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the West Van Lear Church of Christ with the Revs. Joseph Zavadsky and S. C. Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be made in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald September 8, 1954
