LOURANZA DAMRON
1928-1978

Louranza Dowell (L. D.) Damron, 50, died Sunday, July 2, in Lexington
V. A. Hospital.

Mr. Damron was born March 12, 1928 in Edgewater, KY, son of Wayne and
Cloie Sykes Damron.

He was a resident of Van Lear and a retired miner.

Surviving are his mother, Cloie Damron, his wife, Ruby Bowling
Damron; three sons, Louranza Dowell Damron, II, Michael Damron, and
James Damron, all at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Linda May, Mrs.
Connie Music, and Mrs. Sherry Dixon, Van Lear; Lana Damron, Betty
Damron, Pamela Damron, and Sharon Damron, at home; three brothers,
Paul Damron and Ronald Damron, Columbus, OH and Wayne Damron,
Michigan, and three sisters, Vonda Burke, Weeksbury, Loretta Barnette
and Todie Price, Columbus, OH.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 6, in the Van Lear Freewill
Baptist Church with Rev. Bennie Blankenship officiating.

Burial was in Cumbo Cemetery, West Van Lear, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements. Graveside services were conduced
by DAV No. 136.
