HARRY DANIELS Harry Daniels, 77 died Wednesday, April 29 1959, at 5:00 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Quiller Huff, at West Van Lear after an illness of four months. The son of the late Josh and Tildie Preston Daniels he was born in this county June 5 1881. A retired miner he had been a resident of the West Van Lear community for about forty years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. His wife Carolina Music Daniels, preceded him in death in 1953. Besides his daughter, survivors include three sons, William Daniels, Columbus, Ohio; Cecil Daniels, Martin, Ky; Ervin Daniels, East Lynn, W. Va.; one stepson, Frank Wells, Columbus, Ohio; five daughters, Miss Laura Mae Daniels, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Erma Luzadoer, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Sylvia Demartiz, Chicago Ill.; Mrs. Lucille Eden, Martin, Ky; Mrs. Virginia Hedrick, Inez; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Oma Daniels, Wheelright; Mrs. Wilda Demurray, Weeksbury; one sister Mrs. Sarah Reed, Van Lear. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, from the West Van Lear Church of Christ with S.C. Honeycutt and Cecil Sherman as officiating ministers.
