KATHERINE DITTY

Katherine Ditty, 83, died on Monday, July 15, at the home of her
daughter, Francis Wallen, in Paintsville, after an extended illness.
   
Born in Jackson County, OH, on January 9, 1885, she was the daughter of
the late Issah and Sarah Ann Davis Plummer.
  
Survivors include a son, Cecil Ditty, of Red Jacket; three daughters,
Mrs. Mildred Manning, Mrs. Virginia Kelly and Mrs. Francis Wallen, all of
Paintsville; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
  
Additional survivors include a brother, Arthur Plummer of Jenkins; two
sisters, Blanch Mayhan of Burdine and Winnie Bellong of Jenkins. Reverend
Jeff Burton officiated at the funeral services held today, Wednesday,
July 17, in the First Methodist Church of Paintsville of which she was a
member.
  
Burial was held in the Preston Cemetery at Paintsville.
  
The Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
