VIRGIL GOBLE
1918-1980


Virgil Goble, 61, died Wednesday, Mar 19 in V. A. Hospital,
Huntington, WV, after an extended illness.

Mr. Goble was born April 10, 1918, in Johnson County, the son of Tom
and Gypsy Blevins Goble.

He was a resident of West Van Lear, a retired mechanic, a member of
the Church of Christ, DAV Chapter 18, and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Alice Spradlin
Goble
; four sons, Virgil, Jr., and Sheldon of West Van Lear, Ricky
of Thelma, and Amos of Sitka; a daughter, Teresa Beverly, East
Point; a brother, William Goble, West Van Lear, five sisters, Marie
Hall and Goldie Webb, of Van Lear, Elva Blevins, West Van Lear,
Junie Salyer, Columbus, OH and Bertha Music, Springfield, OH; and 9
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Mar 23 in Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Joe Adray officiating.

Burial was in Cumbo Cemetery, West Van Lear, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
