ABBIE HITCHCOCK
1877-1971
Services were held April 29 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel
for Mrs. Abbie Hitchcock, 94, of Milford Center, Ohio.
The Floyd County native passed away April 26 in a Marysville, Ohio
hospital after being ill for one week.
She was the daughter of the late Larkin and Elizabeth Lewis Brown and
was married to Caleb Hitchcock, who preceded him in death in 1951.
Survivors include a son in Milford Center, Taulba Hitchcock; one
daughter, Mrs. Fannie Picklesimer of Irwin, Ohio; a sister in Van
Lear, Mrs. Lona Moore; 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and
several great, great grandchildren. The Rev. W. D. Jaggers officiated
at the funeral.
Interment followed in the family cemetery at Volga, with the
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
