ALFRED LEMASTER 1891-1960 Services Monday For Alfred Lemaster Alfred Lemaster, 68, well-known resident of Barnetts Creek, died in a local hospital Friday afternoon following an illness of several months. A life-long resident of Barnetts Creek, he was born May 17, 1891, the son of William L. and Minerva Trimble Lemaster. He was a member of the United Baptist Church and was employed by the Paintsville Grocery for about fifteen years. His first wife, Janice Caudill Lemaster preceded him in death in 1949. He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Audrey Kelsey Lemaster. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, John William Lemaster, Lexington; Charles Weldon Lemaster, Houston, Texas; Howard Wendell Lemaster, Port Neches, Texas; three stepsons, Paul Kelsey, Lynn, Mass., Charles and Paul Kelsey, Oil Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Avonelle Casto; Charleston, W. Va.; Mrs. Kitty Belle Reed, Mt. Sterling; Mrs. Alpharetta Witten, Lake Wales, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Burl Prater, Shelby, Ohio; Mrs. Robert Schultz, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Joe Salyer, Columbus, O.; Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Flora Renfro, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Clara Stapleton, Flat Gap; Mrs. Mattie Davis, Paintsville. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday from the Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church with John Pelphrey, Lonza Reed and Tommie Bailey as officiating ministers.
