Francis Cantrell McKenzie Lutz, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of
Flat Gap, died Monday, Dec. 28, in Grove City, Ohio.
Born April 25, 1928, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the
late Loman and Elizabeth Ann Rowland Cantrell. She was a retail sales
clerk with Consolidated Stores and a member of the Flat Gap Baptist
Church.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene McKenzie,
in 1983; and three brothers, Arthur Cantrell, Arville Cantrell and
James Cantrell.
Survivors include her husband, John Lutz of Grove City, Ohio; three
sons, Terry McKenzie of Flat Gap, Jerrell McKenzie and Larry Joe
McKenzie, both of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Sandra Rush of
Columbus; three brothers, William Cantrell of Oil Springs, Hugh
Cantrell of Nicholasville and Loman Cantrell Jr. of Columbus; three
sisters, Peggy Cantrell and Ellen Cantrell, both of Flat Gap, and
Jane Stapleton of Franklin, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 31, at Flat Gap Baptist Church,
with Harold Salyer and Mike Blanton officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
