HOWARD GENE LYONS
1938-2004
Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, 1 p.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Chapel for Howard Gene “Ping” Lyons, 66, of
Thealka, Ky., who passed away Friday, June 25 at his residence.
Mr. Lyons was born January 31, 1938 in Johnson County, Ky., son of
the late Edgar and Alice Adams Lyons.
He was a coal miner.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Neva Cantrell Lyons.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamala Castle and Lisa Hamilton, both
of Thealka, Ky.; one step-daughter, Edith Cunagin of Hager Hill,
Ky.; one brother, James Lyons of Springfield, Ohio; one sister,
Faye Castle of Thealka, Ky.; four grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two step-great-
grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Gary Blair, with burial in the
Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
