JESSE EUGENE MEADE
1941-2000
   
Rev. Jesse Eugene Meade, 58, of Paintsville, died Tuesday Jan.18 2000
at his home.
  
Rev. Meade was born June 27, 1941, in Magoffin County, a son of Sarah
Elizabeth Bayes Meade and the late Wayne Meade Sr. He was a minister
and an Army veteran.
  
Additional survivors include his wife, Joanna Lee Morrison Meade; two
sons, Jeffery Wayne Meade and Jonathan Eugene Meade, both of Columbia,
Tenn.; a daughter, Sara Joyce Murray of East Point; eight brothers,
Wayne Meade Jr. of Salyersville, James Meade, Lindsey Meade, Hobert
Meade, Dean Meade, George Meade and Bobby Joe Meade, all of Flat Gap
and John Frank Meade of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Debra Lynn
Staniford of Paintsville and Tammy L. Williams of Flat Gap; four
grandchildren and three foster grandchildren.
  
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Southside Free Will Baptist
Church in Paintsville by the Rev. Belmont Johnson, the Rev. Robert
Wells and the Rev. Steve Swango.
  
Burial will be in Meade family cemetery in Flat Gap.
  
Friends may call after 5 today, any time Thursday and until time of the
service Friday at the church.
  
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville is in charge of arrangements.
