Heart Attack Is Fatal to John Meek, 76, At His Home

Mr. John Meek, 76, died May 29, at his home following a heart attack.

Born March 17, 1889, he was the son of Aaron and Sizian Butcher Meek
of Boons Camp. He had been a resident of River 50 years and was an
affiliate of the United Baptist Church. He was a farmer most of his
life.

Mr. Meek is survived by his wife, Minnie Ray Borders Meek.

Also surviving are six sons, Don C. Meek, Cincinnati, Ohio, . G.
Meek, Sommersville, W. Va., Joe Meek, Ashland, Charles Meek, Germany,
Chester Meek, River and Fred Meek, Georgetown, Ky.; four daughters,
Irene Daniels, City, Vivian Connes, Richmond, Margaret Borders,
Langley, and Ethel Pace, Seattle, Wash.

Other survivors include seven brothers, Ike Meek, Willis Meek, Ted
Meek, Flem Meek, Jack Meek, Boons Camp, Henry Meek, West Van Lear,
Davis Meek, Marion, Ohio; tow sisters, Jennie Spriggs, Boons Camp,
and May wells, Boonscamp.

Funeral services were conducted today at 10:30 a.m. in the River
United Baptist Church with the Revs. Lonza Reed and Germ Walters
officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery at River, Ky.
