MARTHA PELPHREY
1890-1976
Mrs. Martha Grim Pelphrey, 86, died Saturday, July 24, in the Louisa
Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Pelphrey was born March 12, 1890, in Johnson County.
She was the daughter of Wallace and Susan George Grim. She was a
resident of West Van Lear and a member of the Lick Fork United
Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were
held Monday, July 26, in the Lick Fork United Baptist Church with
Elders Paris Music, John R. Pelphrey, Lemuel Williams and Bascom
Daniels officiating.
Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear with Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
