RAYMOND PENNINGTON
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Raymond
Pennington, 46, who died Thursday, March 2,2000 at his Leander
residence.
Mr. Pennington was born December 21, 1953, in Mingo County, West
Virginia, to the late Bailey and Irene Honeycutt Pennington. He was a
coal miner.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Boggs Pennington; one son, Randy
Pennington of Leander; one daughter, Amy Pennington of Leander; five
brothers, Harry, Kenneth, Gary and Freddy, all of Van Lear, and Jake
of Prestonsburg; two sisters, Wilma Bowens and Deloris Burke, both of
Van Lear; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 5, at Eastside Freewill
Baptist Church, Thelma, with Harry Neal Frisby and Roger Thornsbury
officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
