Rites Thursday At Van Lear For Ballard Plummer

Ballard Plummer, 48, resident of Van Lear, died in a local hospital
Monday, October 13, at 8:30 p.m., after a two days' illness.

The son of Charles and Lydia Pack Plummer, he was born at Offutt November
23, 1910, and had made his home at Van Lear for eight years.

He was married in this city August 16, 1930, to the former Cloteen
Williams, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Ballard Plummer, Jr., Van Lear; one daughter,
Mrs. Bonnie Faye Burke, Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; two
brothers, Eddie Plummer, Ft. Gay, W. Va.; Charlie Plummer, of this city;
four sisters, Mrs. John N. Ward, Offutt; Mrs. C. C. Price, Williamsport;
Mrs. Lafe Daniels, Russell; Mrs. Troy Fitch, Meally.

Funeral Services were conducted from the Van Lear Free Will Baptist
Church Thursday, October 16, at 10:00 a.m., with Scott Castle and Edgar
Hewlett as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the Preston Cemetery in this city.
