ELLA SALYERS
1906-1964

Mrs. Ella Johnson Salyers, 58, of Hager Hill, died at 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday in the Paintsville hospital after a short illness with
cancer.

She was born June 19, 1906, in Johnson County, a daughter of the
late Sampson J. and Martha Moles Johnson. Mrs. Salyers was a member
of an old and widely known family of this section, and she had many
friends who regret to learn of her passing.

She was a member of the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church of West Van
Lear.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Salyers; a daughter Mrs.
Patsy Conley of Paintsville; a son, Richard Salyers of Hager Hill,
and two brothers, Stonewall Johnson of Paintsville and Robert Johnson
of Hager Hill.

Funeral services where held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar Grove
United Baptist Church at West Van Lear by Rev. F. F. Rigsby and Rev.
John Crum.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Hager Hill.
