HARVEY SALYER JR
1943-2004
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2 p.m. at the
Paintsville Funeral Home for Harvey Salyer Jr., 61, of
Bellefontaine, Ohio, formerly of Salyersville, Ky., who passed away
Sunday, May 16 2004 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus,
Ohio.
Mr. Salyer was born May 11, 1943 in Salyersville, Ky., son of the
late Harvey Sr. and Virtrece Salyer.
He was an Army veteran and had worked for Waste Management as a
forklift operator.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Hershel, George,
Berlin and Shafter; six sisters, Julia Ratliff, Allie Ward, Gladys
Riggs, and three sisters in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Mae Spradlin Salyer of Bellefontaine, Ohio;
one son, Paul Salyer of Urbana, Ohio; two daughters, Elizabeth
Salyer and Delena (Michael) VanVoorhis, all of Bellefontaine, Ohio;
one brother, Prentice (Polly) Salyer of Bellefontaine, Ohio; one
sister, Loretta (Charles) Poe of Oil Springs, Ky.; one
granddaughter, Josie Salyer and one step-grandson, Justin Stokes.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Rutherford Blair, with
burial in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Paintsville, Ky.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eichholtz Funeral Home of
Bellefontaine, Ohio.
